Each client is one mailbox you're watching. Give it a code name and a receiving address — mail forwarded to that address from the client's Proton account will show up under this code name everywhere in Beacon.

New client

Two things still happen outside B3ACON, once per client: create this address as a Forwarder in cPanel pointing to the collector mailbox, then set that client's Proton Mail to auto-forward to it.

Leave blank to accept mail from anyone forwarded to this address. Set this to only treat mail from these specific senders as real alerts — anything else sent to this alias (spam, or someone who finds the address) gets ignored instead of showing up as a client alert.

A service watches one client's mailbox for a pattern in the sender or subject line, and decides whether a match counts as "needs attention" (red) or "clear" (green). Click a service to see its last 3 alerts.

Example: watch Harbor's mailbox for Stripe chargebacks, call it "Stripe", mark it red.

Every email that has landed in the collector mailbox, whether or not B3ACON recognized it. If something's missing from the dashboard, it's usually here — either the "To" address doesn't match any client yet, or no service rule caught it.

Mailbox connection

Where B3ACON reads mail from — the one collector mailbox that every client's Proton account forwards into. The password is encrypted before it's stored; once saved, it won't be shown again here.

The "Sync now" button and next-sync countdown live in the header now, always available regardless of which tab you're on.

People

Admins get full access, including Clients and Services. Team members get a read-only view — Inbox, History, and All Mail, but no editing and no Mark Done. Everyone logs in the same way, with sessions expiring after 24 hours.
